BDUSD Virtual Academy Is Expanding!

The Beaver Dam Unified School District (BDUSD) is excited to announce the expansion of the BDUSD Virtual Academy.  Beginning this summer and carrying into the 2015-2016 school year, Beaver Dam students will have the opportunity to take any number of high school courses online.  Beaver Dam High School (BDHS) students currently have the option to enroll in more than a dozen courses online.  The expansion of the BDUSD Virtual Academy will provide students with the opportunity to enroll in courses not currently offered at BDHS, resolve scheduling conflicts, and/or recover credit lost.  Courses will include English, social studies, science, business, mathematics, and a full menu of Advanced Placement (AP) and elective courses.  Students who live in the Beaver Dam School District and are currently open enrolled in another school district, virtual academy or participating in a homeschooling program are eligible for this exciting, local opportunity.

The BDUSD Virtual Academy offers a high quality online curriculum endorsed by the State of Wisconsin and facilitated by passionate educators in Beaver Dam.  The BDUSD Virtual Academy will provide students with the technology and personal support needed for success.  Whether you are looking for a full service on-line high school option or to supplement an at-home learning program, the BDUSD Virtual Academy is here to serve the needs of each individual student.  The Virtual Academy expansion is an example of BDUSD’s continual commitment to guiding students and empowering futures by leading the way in student growth and achievement.  For more information, please contact Dr. Rebecca Droessler, Virtual Academy Coordinator at 920.885.7313 Ext. 4229 or droesslerr@bdusd.org.
